The Right Words at the Right Time

Kat's mom (my mother-in-law) had a story published in a recently released anthology titled "The Right Words at the Right Time Volume 2" (there she is, Laura Neumeyer, in the Table of Contents)...she wrote a little blurb, so, here it is:

"Ok, I am Tim’s mother-in-law. (Tim is very kind to his mother-in-law.)

I have a story in a book that goes on sale April 25, and Tim most graciously gave me space on his site to tell you about it.

The book is The Right Words at the Right Time Volume 2: Your Turn! by Marlo Thomas and new Friends. I guess I am considered a friend. Works for me.

All of the royalties from the book will go to a very worthy cause, the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Ms. Thomas has collected 101 stories from 'everyday, ordinary people,' each one telling about a moment when the right words made a difference in their lives. My story, Love Song, is about something my husband said to me in our early courtship (1972).

I have been fortunate to receive an advance copy of the book, and I must say, the other stories are simply wonderful. There is a story about a naval officer who was nearly brought to tears by a remark from a teenager in a Burger King. I was charmed and delighted about the story of a woman who wanted to watch 'Pride & Prejudice' when her husband wanted to watch the football game. And the woman who goes on a rant about that old Nike slogan, 'Just do it' - well, don’t miss that one.

I got hooked on the stories and I bet you will too. Really, they are amazing and well worth the price of the book. Go buy a copy.

Tim, you are a role model for son-in-law's. Thanks for letting me post here.

Love,

Mil (Laura Neumeyer)"
